Spring Forward at Zara!

17 Mar

What was interesting about today’s visit at Zara was the lack of color.

Interestingly enough, this was really the only color I saw in the store!

So, although this display of fabulous bags in bright hues is divine, it is a bit deceiving because the rest of the store was much more subdued…DSC05846

The store was truly about black and white!  Totally classic and always in style, you can’t really get it wrong!

DSC05845

There were a few pops of color here and there, but for the most part the store was really about the huge black and white trend for Spring!

DSC05844

They always have some heels hidden high and low that you have to make sure you don’t miss!

This nude pair takes classic to new surprising heights! This pair would work in almost any situation!

DSC05843

I loved the pretty aqua color in these cut off shorts!

DSC05842

These strappy suede heels in aqua were also a surprise and would be so fun as a transitional shoe for a night night on the town!

DSC05841

This is actually a mixed media romper! It didn’t photograph well enough for you to see the details but trust me, it was H.O.T.  It would be so fun with the aqua strappy heels, don’t you think? The romper was $60… total steal! I really might have to go back to try it on….

Zara is one of the largest international fashion company and always on top of cutting edge fashion.  This is the store to buy something unique to add to your Spring Wardrobes!

So, if you want something that most people won’t have, this is the store to pop into!

Happy Shopping!

Looks that stop traffic…

29 Nov DSC03521

These days I can’t miss stopping into Zara… They always have amazing new duds to check out. Plus, my sister-in-law Molly wanted to check out their infinity scarves that we noticed the last time we were there.

She was contemplating the pastel one as a gift, but wasn’t 100% sure so she decided to wait…

I noticed lots of lustworthy T-shirts…. But one new trend in particular that I keep seeing is a ton of skulls!

Some cute warm coats…

Cute blazer and military jacket…

I actually really loved these boots! It took some major will power to try to ignore them!

Peplum is still huge and this striped shirt was adorable!

Here is a good look at more of the fabulous fashion…

Happy Shopping!!

Let me know how you do!

Give me a reason… Please??

14 Nov DSC03246

As usual, I couldn’t miss hitting up Zara for a quick peek…  Today the store was buzzing! A lot of fasionistas were snagging up the great fashion that Zara offers!

Oh, today ended up being another day that I wished I needed a dress! If only I had a good excuse!  That black lace dress was to die for… I was so tempted to just buy it off the rack and put it away for the perfect occasion! Oh, but I have a closet full of dresses – I really need a good reason to buy one right now.  So, I painfully teared myself away…

I took a pretty decent look around at the store to eye their shoes…. Just in case that perfect pair of boots presented itself… They sprinkle different shoes throughout, so you do have to scan the room!

I thought these studded booties were pretty cool…

BUT… Check out this one piece strapless jumpsuit! I can only imagine how amazing this would look on!  I didn’t have the guts to try it on, but looking at this now, I’m kind of tempted to go back – just what if… what if it did work on me?  Haha…  I’m sure I could come up with a reason to wear it! The Holiday parties should be starting soon, right?? Can’t you just picture it with an awesome statement necklace and killer heels??

So, after a bit of wandering around, I decided I had to move into the men’s section. I was trying to be good today since I just treated myself very recently to some Zara! So, I really want to find something for my husband here… I just don’t know what yet… I almost feel like I want him to go with me sometime so I can see how stuff at Zara would fit him.  I just don’t trust myself to buy the right size yet…. but I might work on figuring that out because they really have some awesome stuff for guys! I’ve just been way to selfish and can’t tear myself out of the woman’s side!! haha!

I was thinking maybe a new coat for my husband might make a nice gift, so I did pay attention to the coats…

I do plan on potentially grabbing some gifts for my husband from Zara this year!  If I can keep myself out of the women’s side, just maybe I might accomplish such a feat!  I’ll be sure to keep you posted!

In the meanwhile, I wanted to give you a good look inside the store to see if you might find a reason to run to Zara:

Anything you need to grab??

This store is dangerous!  Everything is just really amazing and at great price tags!  So, can you please give me a reason I need to go back and buy that black dress or strapless jumper??  :)

Total Love Affair…

22 Oct

My love affair with Zara has been fast and furious….  Every time I’m at Natick Mall, I have to make a stop to see what new stuff they have received.  I was just there last week when I grabbed the cream colored lace dress.  Just for the look, I grabbed these cream shoes to try on with it – not even in my size.  I knew that I had a cream pair of heels at home and that they weren’t necessary.  But, when I looked back at the photo of me in the dress with the shoes, I really liked how they looked.

See that post here: My last visit to Zara

So, when I stopped in on today’s visit, I was taken by surprise when I saw that they were marked down to $25.90! All of a sudden I was furiously looking to see if my size was there. If my size was there, no question, I was buying them…. and voila… there they were!

Although I do own a cute pair of cream heels with a cork heel, I just felt like the burgundy/plum shade of suede on the heel and bottom of these shoes was such a fun twist and nice feature to these heels! I also thought that it made them feel more fallish than my cork heels. On top of those reasons, I also grabbed the jeggings on the last visit that are in that same shade of burgundy and would also pair great together!

It was like it was meant to be!  Haha… Justification at it’s finest!

I also loved the lace peplum tank I bought last week and was hoping to maybe find something else peplum.  I saw this short sleeve shirt in a winter white lace and knew I wanted it! I pictured it with those burgundy leggings and the heels!   But knew that I could wear it with almost anything!

Peplum lace shirt

This shirt was the same price as the heels! $25.90!

Finally, I stumbled on a white flowy henley type shirt with these cool gold buttons… It is a bit longer and I could see it with a belt (maybe that gold one I picked up at Forever 21) and some skinny jeans in any color! Also with a white tank underneath since it seemed sheer.

I took note of the warm and comfy infinity scarves, but decided I had enough items for one day.

Doesn’t mean I won’t think about them on a cold day!

I kept this visit brief, but definitely scored a few items that I was excited about!

To show you how I pulled my two visits at Zara together, here is a look at that dress I got at Zara with the new heels I picked up the night I chose to wear it!

Here is a closer look at the heels….

Then I just threw on a bunch of accessories that I already owned and I was ready to go.

I enjoyed both visits to Zara that pulled my whole look together!  The dress was $80 and the shoes were $26… So, this whole look cost me $106! Not too bad!!! Plus, I know that I will wear this look again and also wear the shoes in other outfits!

Here is a more in depth look at everything! I took a close up of the lace detail in the dress and show you some more angles on the shoes!

I hope you liked my outfit! I did get at least 4 compliments on my dress that night, so I think it was a success!

I also received compliments when I wore my lace peplum tank I picked up the week before.  So, I’m feeling like it is a pretty good success rate right now!

Thus my love affair with Zara!

Head-to-Toe … on a budget

9 Oct

For today’s trip to the mall, I felt like it would be great to show you how to put a trendy outfit together on a budget.  I saw these mannequins and took it as my inspiration.  Animal print is everywhere… so, why not try to incorporate that as the starting point for this budget friendly look I wanted to put together.

Now, I am generally the type that does not shop for an entire outfit at once. I like to pick up a piece here and there and match it with something I own.  But for today, I decided to go for the ENTIRE outfit.  This basically means for me, not just ONE store… but at least a few.

So, what better place to start than Forever 21?  They always have the hottest trends but at great prices.  Which I think can be great, especially when it is for a trend and maybe not something you will be wearing in a couple of years. Ideally, you are always buying pieces that will stand the test of time, but let’s face it. Eventually some pieces just don’t work after a couple of years. Plus, if you are easing into a trend, you may not want to invest a lot of money into it unless you decide you truly love it….

Here is the shirt I chose to build this outfit around! At $25.80, it was a decent price! Plus, I liked that it wasn’t too crazy for animal print and figured I could belt it or tuck it in.

I decided to move on from Forever 21 and head over to Zara! They always have great fashion and you can often get some great deals! I was psyched when I saw this table of skinny jeans!  For $35?! What a deal….

However, choosing the color was what would be the challenge! Now, you can definitely go with a colored denim to pair with the animal print top, but I decided I wanted to ease into it… So, I would prefer a black, a dark wash denim, or perhaps the neutral bone color… You can choose for yourself!  (Or at $35 a pop, buy a couple!! hee, hee!!)

I decided now that I had the top and the bottoms that it was time to head on out.  I wandered into the mall and knew where I was going next.  Love Culture….

I saw this jacket and scarf on the table when I walked in and thought perfect!  Both pieces would work great, but perhaps just the scarf for a little pop of color on a Fall day….

At $8.90 I wasn’t leaving the store without it!

Now, if scarves just aren’t your thing, you can easily just add a simple necklace or even a statement necklace!  For example, substitute the scarf for this statement necklace I found at Forever 21! It was under $10…

Since the Fall is all about layers, I thought finding a blazer was a must…  Here is a look at that scarf!

Here is a blazer I found there as well!  I threw it on with scarf to give you an idea of what I was going for… Plus, a black blazer is just classic and you can wear it with almost anything!! Even over a dress!

This blazer is a steal at $21.90… There isn’t a soul out there that would think this blazer was that cheap!

Now, while I was at Forever 21, I found a gold belt that I bought for myself…. It was one of my favorite finds that I have been so pumped about…. I had it with me and thought this belt would go perfect with this look…. If you remember, I bought it for $3.90!!

So, here is the blazer, the scarf, the belt… and a similar animal print shirt underneath… pair it with some skinny jeans, and you have quite the trendy outfit! I would probably pair this look with a dark blue wash denim like what I was wearing above… SO, those Zara jeans at $35 would be perfect!

I found this bracelet and thought it would also look great…. I actually saw this bracelet at Forever 21!

At $8.80 it would be a great bracelet to own!

I ended up seeing a cute cross body bag that was on sale and thought wow, I could totally see this with this outfit… Marked down to $13.99

The strap on this cross body bag had gold chain at the bottom….

Here is a better look…

I loved the nude color… Perfect hue to be able to use with almost anything!

Now when it comes to footwear… it is personal! You could do a bootie, a boot, a platform heel… or even a cute flat. While I was still at Love Culture, I priced out the evening shoe…

These are a pretty good find at $25.90!

But because I want to be practical, I decided I would hit up Payless and see what they might offer as well for a day shoe…

These were a little pricier at $39.99, but I also have a 15% off coupon, so they would actually be $34…. (Always check my coupon Round-ups!)

Here is that coupon: 15% off through 10/31 at Payless

So… there you have it! An affordable head-to-toe look that you can accomplish yourself just by shopping at Natick Mall and hitting up all the great stores they have to offer!

This whole look totals around $150.  However, keep in mind that I provided a lot of options for substitutions! PLUS, you don’t have to buy every piece! You may already own the perfect shoes, jeans or belt… and you may have the perfect bag already!  Or a great bangle… So, perhaps all you need to buy is the top and blazer! As an added bonus, all of these pieces can be mixed and matched into multiple outfits!

Let me know what you think!!

My Fashion Finds!

8 Oct

Today I was on a mission… I wanted to pick up a new dress but not spend a ton on it! I also wanted it to be very fashionable and something that could work for almost any event.

I was invited to go to a Fashion Show… This immediately caused me anxiety! My mind just fills up with the thought of extremely stylish and fashionable people watching amazing fashion.  Just seems like a lot of pressure to get my own outfit right…

But, since I had just recently been in Zara, I already made up my mind that this was the store to start in today.  There were some great dresses the last time I had been in, so I had my fingers crossed I would get lucky.  I wasn’t looking for another black dress… but I of course still checked them out.

I saw this dress and thought it was cute, but not exactly what I had in mind…

The next dress I didn’t even take a picture of on the rack… I just ran into the dressing room and tried it on!  This was it! Exactly what I was looking for, but didn’t know it!  Haha… It was $80… and those are Zara heels as well, but I didn’t need to buy another pair of shoes… even though I loved them!

I was psyched I found the dress… but I couldn’t ignore a couple of other major finds while there! Peplum is a HUGE trend that is popping up everywhere… and I must say, I am totally on board with this feminine trend!

So, I saw this shirt for $19.99! It was lace and peplum – 2 great trends!

I had to have it…

One more thing… The last time I was at Zara, I blogged about the great colored jeggings.  However, I hadn’t tried them on. Since I was already in the fitting room, I just had to try them.  Plus, they were under $36.

I opted for a more Fall like color and tried the burgundy!

I have to add that these Zara heels worked great again with these jeans… They had the same color burgundy in the heel and bottom of the platform.  It is killing me to look at them knowing I didn’t buy them!!  Haha…

So, I went to the register with the dress, the lace peplum shirt and the burgundy jeggings!

That is a great shopping day!  Do you like my shopping finds??
