What an appropriate post for this rainy day!  I thought that maybe if we had the perfect rainy day essentials, perhaps it would make it not that bad after all…

If you are not a fan of a wedge rain boot, then you can definitely go classic with a pair of Hunter Wellies!

I think they are adorable in hot colors, but if the jacket is a already a hot hue, then you should keep them a simple neutral.  However, feel free to reverse this look and go with a black or tan trench and then do the color pop with your boots and umbrella!

High School girls (and Moms)! It is time to plan for the most important time of the year!!

Enchanting Shoes!

I had a free Saturday morning and my girls have had a couple of things from Christmas that they have been wanting to exchange at the American Girl Store.  So, I figured it would be a nice morning activity with them.  I decided to park on the Macy’s side and use it as a cut through to get there.

Of course the entrance and exit dumped me right in the shoe department – my biggest weakness! Haha… I didn’t stop on the way in, but rather on the way out so the girls wouldn’t be anxious about getting to American Girl.

I ended up not trying anything on, but rather just checked out what they were showing.  I almost felt a little behind and needed to catch up!  Haha… So, lucky for you, you can check them all out with me.

I noticed a lot of BRIGHT and BOLD shoes… and a lot of color blocking.

So, let’s take a look, shall we?

Obviously Macy’s had a ton of variety and selection to look through.  This was just what I found very captivating!  I think all the sequins really surprised me…  Some of the color blocking was really intense as well. I am enjoying colored heels though. I think it is such a fun and interesting way to add a fun pop of color and character to your look!

Basically to pull it off you keep your outfit simple and let the shoes speak for themselves!  I would probably suggest that with most shoes that tend to be a little loud.  If you try to hard it can be too much.  So, start small and keep your look simple. Once you get the hang of it, then try adding in other accessories to pull it together.  But again, I’m thinking keeping everything simple is the way to pull off shoes with such a big personality!

So, this week is all about GREEN….. I just can’t get enough! I want to explore each store’s interpretation of Pantone’s color trend report!  So, I went into Store 344 to seek out all of their green options!

I came upon this table of colored denim…. And I did notice the 2 green pairs – one more on the emerald side of green and the other on the minty or “Grayed Jade” side of green…..

DSC04802As always, Store 344 did not disappoint. 2013 is about fabulous new trends and store 344 always has whats hot!  I only really checked out their greens, but this store has so much more!

There are a lot of different shades in the green family to explore, but remember the hottest 2 are grayed jade and emerald!

No other color conveys regeneration more than green…

So, are you on board with green? Keep in mind that this is only the beginning… you will be seeing so much more and I’m sure you can find something that you can try! I know that there are some of you that may be like, enough with the green already!!  Which is ok… I don’t want to burn any of us out too early. Just want you to have that big head’s up so that you have some time to get used to the idea.  I’m just hoping that if green is not your thing that eventually I will help to get you over that mental hurdle and find the way to embrace it in your own way.  I promise, you will surprise yourself!   And… don’t be afraid to ask for help!  Ask the sales associate – that is what they are there for and you can learn so much from them!

Honest, even stud earrings count!  :)

What can I say… I love shoes! So, I try to stay on top of the hottest trends! Of course boot season is in full affect, so boots are pretty much always on my mind at this point. I am still mostly wearing my boots from last year. I bought a couple of pairs so far this year, but I have been holding out for that perfect new pair still….

Therefore, I am always looking to see if anything “speaks” to me!
