MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Add peanut butter, stirring until melted. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
Note
For best results, use fresh marshmallows.
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows.
Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.
Store no more than two days at room temperature in airtight container. To freeze, place in single layer on wax paper in airtight container. Freeze for up to 6 weeks. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. (P.S. I’m sure you can make this without the Peanut Butter for those with nut allergies!)
Now, don’t forget the essentials for a great football party! Plenty of beverages and plenty of ice are key!
Remember, this party shouldn’t be fussy. Keep it simple! Think of finger foods and think LOTS of them! Let other people bring stuff too! Bag of chips and some dip, nuts, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, pretzels, popcorn etc! Tons of easy things. Maybe even do a veggie platter with dip for the healthy folks!
But of course having some hot options would be nice as well. Think wings and pizza! Cute paper products are a must. Don’t bother with having to do dishes!
Consider breaking out the crock pot! That is why you own it! Consider meatballs and then put a basket of sub rolls right next to it with some grated cheese and sliced american cheese. Making your own meatball sub is fun plus very filling! You can always eat them without the rolls!
Remember if you are having a crowd to pull out any extra seats or pillows you have! People will want to sit!
Of course we can’t forget about the fashion! You need to look cute but totally effortless! Think a pair of nice fitting jeans – maybe your looser pair for today. For example, this is your opportunity to pull out your old school faves. Like a vintage pair of designer jeans that you still own because they are comfy! As long as they still look cute, just do it! Then pair them with a relaxed shirt. Perhaps a cute henley or baseball T would do the trick!
