My sisters and I planned a visit to the American Girl Doll store as a treat to our daughters. My niece Ashley was going for a belated birthday celebration! She was there to pick out a new doll.

Ashley just recently was crossing the street in the Cape and was side swiped by a car. When she fell, she broke a couple of bones in her foot. She was very lucky to not have had any other injuries and will be back to herself in just a few more weeks! I just thought it was so sweet that she could share this experience with her new doll. Just very touching and shows how meaningful and special dolls can be!
After some shopping, we sat down to a lovely meal in the restaurant. The restaurant is kind enough to loan you a doll during your visit! You can pick one from the bunch in the photo:
The girls get to bring their dolls and put them in their own seats on the table. 
The dolls even get their own tea cup which the girls especially LOVE! Filling it up with water and sneaking a sip for yourself is half the fun!! 
Plus, just being with your cousins/sisters/friends at the American Girl Restaurant is a fun memory and bonding experience!
ADDED BONUS, everyone gets to order an appetizer for their first course! The cut up fruit with yogurt dip and blueberry muffins was a BIG hit! Kids love eating fruit on a stick and the cute shapes add to the FUN!
We were actually so full from our meals and very anxious to get back into the store for some more shopping, so we skipped out on dessert! Although, I have to tell you, that dessert menu was VERY tempting!
But we had hair appointments and ear piercing appointments to get to!

Lucky for my own daughters, they were due a birthday present from their Auntie. So, we thought it would be cute to get the twins. It is a great deal because you can pick two different twins out of the whole selection for $105. So, Amber could pick a blond one and Ava could pick a brunette one!
